The Present

We have been threatened with dire consequences because we have not registered. We have few things in this wedding that we believe to be sacred: among them are good food, good drink, lots of flowers, and not registering. We can not use most presents as we are moving around too much to get properly settled, so they will most likely be stuck in a relative's attic (or barn) for many years. If you need to assuage your own souls by giving us a present by all means do, but we aren't registering.

All that being said, if you are truly resolute most know us to be shameless bookworms and always willing to cart too many books half way around the world. So the idea of your favorite book as a gift strikes us as a good present. If that isn't enough then we would also love a good bottle of wine that will age and we could drink on our anniversaries.
